EVHUBUK INSIGHT · AUDIENCE INTENT

UK EV audiences are not
one generic market.

A driver choosing a first electric car, a new owner learning an app and an experienced owner diagnosing a charging problem may all be “EV audiences”. Their needs—and the responsible way to reach them—are different.

01 / Audience stages

Start with the job the visitor is trying to complete.

EVHubUK separates purchase-stage discovery from brand-specific ownership support. EVDeal helps people compare vehicles, costs and offers. MyBYD, MyXPENG and MyMGEV help owners understand the exact car, software and task in front of them.

DISCOVER

Choosing an EV

Range, charging access, affordability, insurance and model comparison.

SET UP

Learning the car

Apps, keys, driver profiles, charging schedules and handover checks.

SOLVE

Fixing a problem

Warnings, failed charging, software behaviour and safe next actions.

02 / Intent signals

A question reveals more than a broad demographic.

“Which EV should I buy?” is exploratory. “Why did my scheduled charge start immediately?” is an ownership task. The second visitor needs precise, model-aware guidance rather than a generic promotional message.

We therefore plan around page context, model family and the visitor’s task—not personal identity. A charging-equipment campaign belongs beside charging guidance; it does not belong beside an unrelated warning or safety procedure.

03 / Network roles

Each publication owns a distinct part of the journey.

  • EVDeal: comparison, running-cost and purchase decisions.
  • MyBYD: BYD models, software, manuals and owner tasks.
  • MyXPENG: XPENG models, XOS, connected features and charging.
  • MyMGEV: exact-grade electric MG guidance, owner tools and troubleshooting.

Links between publications should follow a real change in the visitor’s job. An owner site should not push a buying offer into an urgent fault route.

04 / Measurement

Measure useful outcomes without building personal profiles.

Useful campaign reporting starts with aggregated delivery and interaction: eligible page context, advert views, clicks and destination response. It should distinguish one specialist publication from a whole-network campaign and explain what is—and is not—measured.

EVHubUK’s stated approach is to report network performance without tracking people across the web. Final measurement details are agreed before a campaign is published.
