01 / Relevance
Choose the owner task before choosing the advert format.
Start with the problem your product genuinely solves. A home charger, cable, tyre, accessory, insurance product or service partner each belongs in a different context. Selecting “all EV owners” first normally produces a weaker message.
- Name the exact product and UK availability.
- Identify the vehicle, ownership stage or task it supports.
- Choose the publication where that need already exists.
- Exclude safety-sensitive and unrelated contexts.
02 / Disclosure
Make advertising recognisable immediately.
The CAP Code requires marketing communications to be obviously identifiable. EVHubUK therefore separates paid creative from editorial guidance and uses visible labels such as “Advertisement”, “Sponsored” or another clear commercial description appropriate to the placement.
A relationship hidden in a footer, profile biography or vague “partner” wording is not the standard we aim for. Visitors should understand the commercial status before acting on the message.
03 / Creative
Useful creative earns attention better than interruption.
The product clearly
Use accurate imagery, readable text and the real UK offer.
The relevant benefit
Connect the claim to the owner’s current task.
The destination
Send visitors to a secure page that matches the advert.
Countdown pressure, misleading compatibility, disguised editorial endorsements and vague savings claims are rejected.
04 / Campaign planning
Use a small, testable route.
Begin with one audience, one placement and one useful action. Agree the live dates, eligible pages, creative dimensions, disclosure, destination and reporting fields before publication. Expand only when the first route produces a useful signal.
